Foraging for Wild Mushrooms

July 26 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Let’s take a walk in the woods and learn about Michigan’s native wild mushrooms!

In this workshop, we’ll learn how to safely and sustainably forage the Northwood’s top medicinal and edible mushrooms. Plenty of live examples will be available for a hands on experience in learning how to identify their key characteristics.

Please wear good shoes for walking in the woods and dress appropriately for the weather. To ensure accessibility, this will not be a challenging walk but please know the ground we cover will be unpaved.

Class Fee: $35*

Space is limited for this class. Please register online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/612512610707

* Thanks to a grant from The Americana Foundation and the Chippewa Luce Mackinac Conservation District, this workshop is being offered at a significant discount to help connect people with nature.
